Different types of Software Development Life Cycle Models (SDLC)
A Software Development Life Cycle Model is a set of activities together with an
ordering relationship between activities which if performed in a manner that satisfies
the ordering relationship that will produce desired product. Software Development
Life Cycle Model is an abstract representation of a development process.
In a software development effort the goal is to produce high quality software.
The development process is, therefore, the sequence of activities that will produce
such software. A software development life cycle model is broken down into distinct
activities. A software development life cycle model specifies how these activities
are organized in the entire software development effort. We discuss each software
development life cycle model in detail.
