Using Quick Watch

When you are in Break mode, you may want to determine the value of an expression in your code for which a watch has not already been set. You can use the Quick Watch feature to display the value of any expression, as shown in Figure 18.14. Select the expression, and then pull down the Debug menu and choose Quick Watch. This displays the value of the selected expression in a Quick Watch dialog box.

The dialog box also gives you a chance to add the expression to the Watch window.
